Kindness Tips

Too often we underestimate the power of a touch, a smile, a kind word, a listening ear, an honest compliment, or the smallest act of caring, all of which have the potential to turn a life around. ~Leo Buscaglia

Here are a few suggestions of kind acts you can perform but the possibilities are infinite. We would love to hear your ideas too. Please contact us here.

1. Make yourself known to anyone elderly or vulnerable in your community so they have somewhere to turn to if they need help.

2. Set up a direct debit to a charity of your choice.

3. Put out organic bird seed in your garden.

4. Have a good clear out of your wardrobe and take all your unwanted warm winter clothes to your local shelter – remember to only donate clothes that you would be happy to receive yourself.

5. Buy a sandwich and hot chocolate and give it to a homeless person.

6. Give your time freely and volunteer.

7. Join or set up a local community group with a view to getting to know your neighbours and increasing the sense of care and community in the area.

8. Buy a ‘bag for life’ and give up plastic bags.

9. Try and walk or cycle instead of driving

10. Try and reduce your meat consumption.

11. Buy organic, local produce when you can.

12. Be aware of your carbon footprint.
